Kings of Leon‘s documentary, ‘Talihina Sky‘ premiered tonight (8/21) on Showtime.

The documentary, which centers around the history of the band and their childhood, was directed by Followill family friend Stephen C. Mitchell and features home videos, interviews with the band and their family, and behind-the-scenes footage.

Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill live tweeted the premiere of the documentary to his 107,987 followers on Twitter.

For fans who missed the premiere, the film is set to re-air several more times.

Following the cancellation of the Kings of Leon entire U.S. tour, Band of Horses have announced a string of last minute club shows.

Band of Horses were due to open for Kings of Leon on their U.S. but were forced to change their plans after the band cancelled their tour after frontman Caleb Followill came down with a “vocal issues and exhaustion”.

The dates were put together in an effort to play shows where the band were due to play with the Kings of Leon.

Among the dates announced are shows in Ft. Lauderdale, Philadelphia, and New York.

Only a few days after cutting their Dallas appearance short after a drunk Caleb Followill stormed off stage, the Kings of Leon have officially cancelled their entire U.S. tour.

The band announced the cancelation of the entire U.S. tour in a message posted on their official website.

“We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion,” read the message.

It continued, “the band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break. Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule.”

Canadian tour dates are still set to go on as scheduled, for now.

Tickets for all cancelled dates will be refunded at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online or via phones will be automatically refunded.

Kings of Leon cut their set short Friday night (July 29) in Dallas after frontman Caleb Followill stormed off stage.

After playing their eleventh song in their set, ‘Notion‘, a drunk Caleb told the crowd, “I’m trying my best to sing but I haven’t got a voice, I’ve got nothing here. I’m not drunk, I’m just fucking hot,” and left the stage.

After several minutes went by bassist Jared Followill came out to address the audience and apologizese. He told the crowd that Caleb was unable to continue and said, “fucking hate Caleb, not us. I don’t know what to say. It’s not our fault. It’s Caleb. He can’t play the rest of the show. We will be back as soon as possible.”

Taking to twitter Jared wrote “Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words.”

A second tweet over 14 hours later read, “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”

Drummer Nathan Followill sent out a tweet this morning that read, “Not so good morning 4 me today. Ashamed & embarrassed by last nights fiasco. Can’t apologize enough, utterly gutted. A million I’m sorry’s.”

As of now the band are still due to continue their North American tour.

After making its official debut at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, the Kings of Leon’s documentary, ‘Talihina Sky‘, is set to make its television premier on Showtime on Sunday, August 21.

The film, which centers around the history of the band and their childhood, was directed by Followill family friend Stephen C. Mitchell and features home videos, interviews with the band and their family, and behind-the-scenes footage.

The film will air on August 21 at 10 p.m ET with several other airings to follow.

Kings of Leon have premiered the music video for “Back Down South“.

The track is the latest single off the band’s latest album, ‘Come Around Sundown‘.

The music video was directed by Casey McGrath and shot in Nashville, TN.

The video is for the latest single off the band’s most recent album, ‘Come Around Sundown‘.

The music video, which features the band playing an outdoor show for a few KOL fan club members, was directed by Casey McGrath and shot in Nashville, TN.

Last week the band released a behind-the-scenes making of the music video clip which you can watch here.

The behind-the-scenes clip shows the band and crew prepping for the music video as well as some interviews with the lucky fans who got to be part of the video shoot.

Kings of Leon stopped by Saturday Night Live on Saturday (10/23), to perform tracks off their new album, ‘Come Around Sundown‘.

The band performed to tracks on the late night comedy show, ‘Radioactive‘ and ‘Pyro‘.

The band are set to play three concerts in the U.S. in late November.

Playing in support of their forthcoming new album, ‘Come Around Sundown‘, the Followill boys will play shows in Boston, New York, and East Rutherford.

The band’s latest album ‘Come Around Sundown‘ is set for release October 19.
