Virgin FreefestPavement, M.I.A., and LCD Soundsystem are among the acts set to take part in the forthcoming Virgin Mobile FreeFest.

The one-day bash is set to take place September 25 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

Other acts taking part in the event include Yeasayer, Matt and Kim, Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, Die Antwoord, and many more.

As the name implies the festival is free and open only to attendees of previous Virgin festivals who will get invites to apply for tickets in advance, reports The Baltimore Sun.

A limited amount of tickets for the pavilion will also reportedly go on sale for $125.

Treasure Island FestivalOrganizers have announced the lineup for this year’s Treasure Island Music Festival.

The two day bash is set to take place October 16 and 17 on Treasure Island in San Francisco.

Among the acts announced to play the festival are LCD Soundsystem, Deadmau5, Belle & Sebastian, and She & Him.

Cut CopyNew York’s Pool Parties series is back for 2010.

The series of concerts which is set to take place every Sunday from July 11 to August 29 at East River State Park on the Williamsburg waterfront will see performance by several great acts.

Among the initial line-up taking part in the event this year are Cut Copy, No Age, !!!, Delorean, and No Age.

The event will also include a joint performance by Deerhoof and Xiu Xiu who are set to perform Joy Divison’s ‘Unknown Pleasures‘ in full.
