With the release of their latest album only a couple weeks away, Hot Hot Heat have announced a Brooklyn and L.A. residency.
The band are set to play four nights at Brooklyn’s The Public Assembly with the first night kicking off May 5th followed by a May 12, 19, and May 26th performance.
The band are also set to play a five-night residency at The Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles beginning June 2.
Hot Hot Heat will play the L.A. venue every Wednesday in June wrapping up with a June 30 performance.

Here We Go Magic have announced details of a forthcoming U.S. Summer tour.
The band are set to embark on the U.S. outing, which is in support of their forthcoming sophomore LP, ‘Pigeons‘, on June 8 in Brooklyn.
Among the dates announced are shows in Seattle, San Francisco, and Austin.
The band are also set for a couple of festival appearances including the Bonnaroo festival and the Pitchfork Music Festival.
‘Pigeons‘ is out June 8th via Secretly Canadian.

Vampire Weekend, Beach House, and Dum Dum Girls are gearing up for a joint North American tour set for later this year.
The tour is set to kick off on August 28 in Vancouver and will include stops in Chicago, Toronto, and Los Angeles.
The tour will also include three consecutive nights at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

Of Montreal have announced a string of U.S. tour dates set for later this month.
The band will embark on their jaunt on January 25 in Baltimore and will play dates through early next month.
Among the cities the band will be hitting up are New York, Boston, and Nashville.
The opening act on all dates might look familiar as it will be Of Montreal’s own James Huggins.
Huggins will be playing solo as his recording project James Husband.

Soundgarden frontman
Chris Cornell has revealed that the band will be reuniting this year.
The announcement came via a Twitter message which directed fans to a new website, Soundgardenworld.com.
Cornell gave no other details about the forthcoming reunion which would be the bands first time playing together since their break-up in 1997.
According to Billboard, sources are stating that the band is currently entertaining offers to play major U.S. and international festivals this year.
Any reunion shows would have to accommodate drummer Matt Cameron’s touring schedule with Pearl Jam, which Cameron plays drums in.
Pearl Jam recently announced a North American tour to coincide with the second weekend of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival taking place April 29 – May 2.

Hadouken! have announced 2 U.S. shows set to take place early next year.
The band are set to make their U.S. debut with shows in New York and Los Angeles to take place February 2010.
A full 2010 North American tour will also be announced soon.

Arcade Fire, 2010 is looking to be a great year for music.
Billboard is reporting that the Arcade Fire will release a new album in the middle of next year.
According to a source, the band will be releasing the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Neon Bible‘, sometime in May.
The latest revelations comes only a couple days after the BBC reported that the band has spent the past six months in a studio with producer Markus Dravs, recording the new album.
The source also revealed to Billboard that the band will be releasing the first single off the new album in early 2010.
The band will also reportedly be playing shows next year including playing at major North American music festivals, Coachella perhaps?

Julian Casablancas has announced plans to play four nights in Los Angeles next month.
The Strokes frontman will play L.A.’s Downtown Palace Theatre every Friday night in November.
The shows are in support of Casablancas‘ forthcoming debut solo album, ‘Phrazes For The Young‘, due out November 3.

Cut Off Your Hands have announced a slew of U.S. tour dates set for later this month.
The forthcoming jaunt will see the band play dates in Washington, Pittsburgh, and New York.
The band will support their latest album, ‘You and I‘, on the tour.

Animal Collective have rescheduled dates for two Los Angeles shows the band was forced to cancel late last month.
The two sold-out gigs which were originally scheduled for January 23 at the Henry Fonda and January 24 at the Troubadour were canceled after frontman Avey Tare became ill.
The rescheduled dates are now set for February 26 at the Henry Fonda and 27 at the Troubadour.
Ticket holders for the show taking place at the Henry Fonda Theatre will be able to use their tickets for the original show at the rescheduled date.
Troubadour ticket holders will be contacted by the venue with details about how they can attend the show.
If ticket holders have any questions or cannot attend the rescheduled dates they are asked to contact Ticketmaster.
