The Stone Roses have officially announced plans for a reunion.

In a press conference yesterday (October 18) the band confirmed that the original line-up – Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani, and Reni – will embark on a world tour later next year.

Prior to to kicking off their world tour, the band will play two homecoming concerts at Heaton Park on June 29 and 30, 2012.

In addition to the world tour, the band announced plans to record new material with plans to play the new songs at the shows.

Bon Iver‘s have announced a handful of additional North American tour dates, extending their forthcoming fall tour.

The band, who are playing in support of their new self-titled album, will now play dates through December.

The band will be joined by Henry Rollins on the upcoming tour, set to kick off December 12 in Costa Mesa, California.
