Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released their concert film ‘Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Live from O2 Brixton Academy‘.
The 80-minute film is available to download now exclusively on the iTunes store.
The concert was “filmed in the depths of the UK winter” at the band’s December 1, 2009 show at the 02 Academy in Brixton.
The film features 16 tracks spanning several of the group’s albums.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to release a limited edition
Skeletons 7″ early next month.
The release, which is the band’s latest single off their latest album ‘It’s Blitz!‘, will be limited to only 500 copies.
The single is set to feature guitarist Nick Zinner’s artwork on the cover and is due for release on March 1.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced plans to release a digital bundle of their forthcoming single, ‘
Skeletons‘.
The single, off the band’s 2009 album ‘It’s Blitz!‘, will be released as a package containing the song, a special acoustic version of the track and a video.
The bundle will be released on February 1.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced plans to play Minehead, Englands’
All Tomorrow’s Parties fest next month.
Karen O‘ and co. will be playing their debut album, ‘Fever To Tell‘, in it’s entirety when they play the three-day fest.
ATP will run December 11-13 and will see performances by Devendra Banhart, Modest Mouse, Deerhoof, and The Mars Volta, among others.

The Flaming Lips have premiered the music video for “
I Can Be A Frog“.
The track is taken off the band’s forthcoming album, ‘Embryonic‘, due out October 13.
The song features backing animal noise vocals by Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ frontwoman Karen O.

The
Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been announced as headline replacement for the
Beastie Boys at the forthcoming
Austin City Limits festival.
The Beastie Boys were forced to pull out of their slot following band member Adam Yauch’s cancer diagnosis early last month (July).
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be headlining the opening night of the festival on Friday, October 2nd.
Karen O‘ and Co. also replaced the band slot at the Lollapalooza festival earlier this month.
The three-day festival is set to take place October 2-4 in Austin, Texas.

One of the most anticipated films set for release later this year is
Spike Jonze’s
Where the Wild Things Are.
The film is the movie adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s book by the same name.
Although the movie wont hit theaters until October 16 the soundtrack for the movie will be released next month.
The soundtrack was created by Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ frontwoman Karen O’ and the Kids, the “Kids” being other collaborators on the soundtrack which include Deerhunter’s Bradford Cox and Yeah Yeah Yeahs collaborator Imaad Wasif.
The first single off the soundtrack, “All Is Love“, is due out August 25.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to play the famed
Radio City Music Hall in New York.
The band have added the New York dates to their previously announced shows which include stops in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
The band are currently on the road supporting their recently released album, ‘It’s Blitz‘.

Beastie Boys at
Lollapalooza after the band was forced to drop out.
The band are taking the headlining slot on Saturday night (August 8).
As we previously reported, the Beastie Boys cancelled their appearance at the bash after band member Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer.
